Glory in Order: TBR: April 4: Lev 7; Psalms 7-8

Today we read in Lev 7 of the various types of offerings to the Lord: burnt, grain, peace, sin and guilt. Of course we do not offer these, for Christ has fulfilled them all. We read of the lament in Ps. 7. In Psalm 8 we read of the great privilege it is to be a human being, made in the image of God. The whole creation, earth and heaven, shout glory and praise to the Lord. Mankind is given a distinct privilege to rule over the earth. This is part of what it means to be made in the image of God v. 6. The incredible order of God’s world is one aspect that gives Him praise and glory. When you look out today, sometimes we see chaos but even in this sin tainted world, there still is order. Imagine one day when full order is restored as it should be, when he lion lays down with the lamb and all things are restored (Rom 8). And all this is accomplished because of the the offering of Christ for us. Christ has finished the work, yet we wait for the fullness of effect. Christian, no need to despair. God has a plan for all creation, and it is good. See His order and glory today and praise Him. May the Lord be with you today.
